Understanding cannabis strains

Cannabis strains are distinct varieties bred for specific effects, flavors, and growing characteristics. They fall into three main categories: indica (typically relaxing and body-focused), sativa (energizing and cerebral), and hybrid (a blend of both).

Each strain has a unique terpene profile — the aromatic compounds that give cannabis its distinctive smell and taste. Terpenes also influence the effects, working alongside cannabinoids like THC and CBD in what scientists call the “entourage effect.”
